BUTUAN CITY, Nov. 28 -- The office of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) here has warned residents of Caraga Region against an online job offer scam.

In an advisory on Friday, SEC-Butuan warned that two companies - OHO Marketing Ltd. and OHO Digital Marketing Agency - are soliciting investments from the public and are making their recruits watch videos on Facebook to earn a certain amount of money.

It said the two companies, both based in the US and the UK, are not authorized to solicit investments from the public.
