Manila, March 27 -- The Visayas, northern Mindanao, Caraga and Davao Region will experience scattered rains and thunderstorms due to a low pressure area (LPA), the weather bureau said Thursday.
The LPA, located 220 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur as of 3 a.m., is unlikely to develop into a tropical cyclone within 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
However, moderate to heavy rains in the affected areas could result in flash floods or landslides.
