Manila, July 14 -- Several areas will continue to experience rains due to the prevailing southwest monsoon (habagat), the weather bureau said Monday.
Scattered rains and thunderstorms will prevail over Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, and Palawan.
Flash floods or landslides are possible in those areas due to moderate to heavy rains, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 4 a.m. weather bulletin.
The habagat will also cause isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country.
Meanwhile, moderate winds and moderate seas are forecast over extreme northern Luzon.
