Manila, Aug. 26 -- The Supreme Court on Tuesday announced the schedule for the public interview of candidates for the position of Ombudsman starting this week.

The interviews, which will screen applicants to the vacancy following former Ombudsman Samuel Martires' retirement, will be conducted by the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) at the Supreme Court En Banc Session Hall from Aug. 28 to Sept. 2.

Recordings of the public interviews will be uploaded after all interviews are completed on Sept. 2, the SC said.

The interview will begin at 9 a.m. on Aug. 28 with former Commission on Audit chair and present Philippine Competition Commission chair Michael Aguinaldo, Department of the Interior and Local Government Undersecretary Romeo Benitez, ...
