Manila, April 15 -- The Tandag City government in Surigao del Sur has activated its peace and order and disaster risk reduction management councils to ensure a safe and secure observance of Holy Week.

Mayor Roxanne Pimentel issued Executive Order No. 14-2024 on Monday afternoon, outlining comprehensive safety guidelines for the Lenten season.

"These measures underscore the city government's unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of all residents and visitors during this significant religious observance," Pimentel said in the order.
