Manila, July 16 -- A delegation from the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) has personally honored the Filipino troops who fought in the Korean War, highlighting the Philippines and South Korea's long-standing military and diplomatic ties, the Philippine Army (PA) said Wednesday.

In a statement, PA spokesperson Col. Louie Dema-ala said a wreath-laying ceremony was held on Monday at the Korean War Memorial Pylon inside the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

"The ceremony marked the beginning of the ROKA delegation's three-day engagement with the PA, aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation between the Philippines and South Korea in building a stronger Army-to-Army partnership," Dema-ala said.
