Legazpi City, Feb. 9 -- The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Bicol, through its stations in Albay, Catanduanes, and Sorsogon provinces, has suspended sea travel of small vessels due to rough to very rough sea conditions.
PCG Commander Commodore Ivan Roldan said the PCG stations issued separate advisories due to strong to gale-force winds associated with the northeast monsoon or "amihan", which continue to affect Bicol provinces.
A total of 410 personnel, 13 land assets, and 16 floating assets are now on standby for possible deployment in evacuation, rescue, and response operations.
