Manila, Feb. 13 -- Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. has vowed to strengthen the country's Building Code to ensure structures can withstand powerful earthquakes.
In an interview Thursday hours before the campaign rally here, the re-electionist senator under the administration's slate Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas said he would push for the assessment of older buildings to determine if they should be reinforced or demolished for safety.
In addition to reviewing the building code, Revilla emphasized the urgent need for a comprehensive master plan to address the country's worsening flooding problem.
"What is important is the masterplan to address flooding that is being pushed by our President (Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.)," the senator said...
