Manila, Jan. 29 -- A resolution has been filed in the Senate honoring the late movie icon Gloria Romero, who passed away on Jan. 25, 2025 at the age of 91.
In filing Senate Resolution No. 1290, Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada said Romero, or Gloria Anne Galla in real life, played a significant role in enriching Philippine cinema and culture.
He added that Romero's work and contributions extend beyond acting.
"The Senate, along with the entire Filipino nation, mourns the loss of a cinematic legend whose legacy will continue to inspire for generations to come," Estrada said in his resolution filed on Monday.
