MANILA, Dec. 22 -- Executive Secretary Ralph Recto on Monday said he would fully cooperate with the Office of the Ombudsman following the filing of complaints linked to the transfer of Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) funds to the National Treasury.
Recto issued the statement after the Save the Philippines Coalition filed complaints for technical malversation, plunder, and grave misconduct against him and former PhilHealth president and chief executive officer Emmanuel Ledesma Jr.
The complaints stemmed from the transfer of PHP60 billion in PhilHealth reserve funds to the National Treasury during Recto's term as Secretary of Finance.
