Manila, Feb. 11 -- Executive Secretary Ralph Recto called on the local government units (LGUs) to ensure the efficient and transparent use of the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF).

Recto met with all 17 Metro Manila mayors at Malacanan Palace in Manila on Tuesday to discuss the LGSF and align national and local priorities, the Office of the Executive Secretary (OES) said in a news release on Wednesday.

"The Executive Secretary consulted and worked closely with the mayors to plan locally driven, high-impact programs and projects tailored to their communities' needs. The meeting ensured that resources will be deployed efficiently, transparently, and on initiatives that deliver immediate, tangible benefits to Filipinos," the OES said. ...
