MANILA, Feb. 8 -- The shear line and the northeast monsoon will continue to bring cloudy skies and rains to several areas of the country, the weather bureau said Saturday.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over the Visayas, Bicol Region, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and Aurora.

Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to heavy, with at times heavy rains, PAGASA warned.

Meanwhile, cloudy skies with rains are forecast over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, the Cordilleras, and the rest of Central Luzon due to the northeast monsoon.
