Manila, July 26 -- Tropical Depression Emong (international name Co-May) and the southwest monsoon will continue to bring rains over parts of Luzon and the Visayas, the weather bureau said Saturday.

As of 5 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the center of Emong was estimated at 500 km. northeast pf Itbayat, Batanes.

It is packing maximum winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of 70 kph, moving northeastward at 70 kph.

Occasional rains will prevail over the Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro due to the southwest monsoon.
