Manila, Oct. 6 -- The number of families affected by the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that rocked Bogo City, Cebu and other nearby areas on Sept. 30, 2025 has now reached over 155,000, according to the official government tally as of Monday.
In its report, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said all the 155,094 affected families, or 547,394 individuals, are from Central Visayas.
Of the total number, 405 families are staying in four evacuation centers, while 7,357 are seeking temporary shelter elsewhere.
The NDRRMC also said 72 people were reported killed and 559 others were reported injured, all undergoing validation and verification as of the time of the report.
