Manila, July 11 -- The Quezon City government has warned its residents that dengue remains a major health concern in the city after over 5,000 cases were recorded since January this year.

The QC Epidemiology & Surveillance Division (QCESD) posted on its Facebook page on Friday that dengue cases have reached 5,682 from Jan. 1 to July 10, 2025, with District 2 reporting the highest number of cases at 1,620 or 29 percent of the total.

Thirteen dengue-related deaths were also logged throughout the city.

The city government also said that QCESD data showed that children 10 years old and below made up more than half of the dengue cases.
