Manila, Dec. 9 -- The Quezon City government logged 648 new cases and four dengue-related deaths from Nov. 17 to Dec. 4.
Overall, a total of 10,609 cases were reported in the city from Jan. 1 to Dec. 4 or an increase of 1,880 since Oct. 7.
In a social media post on Tuesday, the city government urged residents to seek immediate consultation at the first signs of dengue, such as fever, headache and rashes, to prevent severe complications and reduce the risk of death.
"Case counts remained above the epidemic threshold from Morbidity Weeks 40 to 47 (Sept. 28 to Nov. 16), except during Week 46," the QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Division (QCESD) surveillance report said.
