Manila, July 16 -- Persons with disabilities (PWDs) will get free rides from July 17 to 23 at the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3).
In a statement on Wednesday, the MRT-3 said the week-long free rides are in celebration of the National Disability Rights Week.
"Magsisimula ang Libreng Sakay mula 7 a.m. hanggang 9 a.m., at mula 5 p.m. hanggang 7 p.m. sa nasabing mga petsa (The free rides will be offered from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. during the said dates)," it said.
The free ride program is in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s order to ease the cost of transportation for passengers and to celebrate important events in the country.
