MANILA, Nov. 19 -- Investors looked for cheaper valued shares on Wednesday, lifting the Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi), but the peso ended almost unchanged against the US dollar.
The local bourse's main gauge rose 0.99 percent to 5,813.71 points, and the broader All Shares by 0.63 percent to 3,251.84 points.
Most of the sectoral indices also gained during the day, led by Financials after it rose 1.78 percent.
It was trailed by Industrial, 1.55 percent; Holding Firms, 1.14 percent; Property, 0.43 percent; and Services, 0.08 percent.
Only Mining and Oil declined, slipping 0.48 percent.
