Manila, June 9 -- The local shares improved on Monday breaching the 6,400-mark, while peso ended the day weaker.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) rose 0.46 percent to 6,406.13, with All Shares also increasing by 0.19 percent to 3,786.59 level.
Sectoral indices were mixed, with winners Holding Firms and Services both increased their counters by 1.15 percent to 5,501.58 and 2,229.22 points, respectively, while Financials went up by 0.61 percent to 2,364.09.
Losers for the day include Mining and Oil, declining by 3.70 percent to 9,523.15; followed by Property, down by 0.81 percent to 2,270.76; and Industrial, down by 0.44 percent to 8,914.
