Manila, Dec. 17 -- The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) have signed a landmark agreement giving national athletes long-term access to the facilities at the New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac.

The New Clark City, which features a world-class athletics stadium and aquatics center, and an Athletes Village, was built for the country's hosting of the Southeast Asian Games in 2019.

The Athletes Village has 100 fully furnished, air-conditioned rooms designed for triple sharing.

"This partnership is both logical and inevitable: to provide world-class facilities for world-class athletes," said PSC Chairperson Patrick Gregorio in a news release on Wednesday.
