Bacolod City, Aug. 8 -- The Philippine Statistics Authority-Negros Island Region (PSA-NIR) on Friday underscored its strong partnership with local government units (LGUs) in delivering civil registration programs, activities, and services as six local civil registry offices (LCROs) in the region received awards during the 4th National Convention on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) held in Pampanga.

"These awards are a testament to what meaningful collaborations between the PSA and the LCROs can do as we strive to get every Juan and Juana in the picture through efficient and inclusive civil registration," PSA-NIR Interim Director John Campomanes said in a news release on Friday.
