Manila, May 30 -- The growth of the producer price index (PPI) for manufacturing slowed to 0.1 percent in April this year from 0.6 percent in March, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said Friday.

"The slower annual increase of PPI for the manufacturing section in April 2025 was primarily due to the decline in the annual growth rate of the PPI for manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products industry division at 1.3 percent in April 2025 from 0.9 percent annual increase in March 2025," the PSA said in a statement.
