TACLOBAN CITY, Dec. 16 -- The Police Regional Office 8 (PRO-8) has launched an investigation into the alleged drinking session of cops on duty inside a police station in Eastern Samar province.

In a statement issued Tuesday, PRO-8 reiterated that the Philippine National Police (PNP) strictly prohibits the consumption of alcoholic beverages while on duty and within police premises, as stipulated under existing PNP rules and regulations.
