Manila, May 12 -- The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) said Monday the 2025 midterm elections appeared "a little more peaceful" compared to previous polls, despite reported incidents of violence and death in Mindanao.
In a press briefing at the PPCRV Command Center here, spokesperson Ana Singson said that while some incidents were still cause for concern, initial observations suggest fewer violent disruptions than in 2022 and 2019.
"If we compare it to 2022 and 2019 -- just qualitative, until we get the final reports -- it seems that the conduct of the election was a little more peaceful," Singson said.
