Manila, May 12 -- The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) on Monday recommended to restore the original sensitivity threshold of automated counting machines (ACMs) to 25 percent, saying the current 15-percent setting may be too sensitive and could contribute to ballot-reading issues.

"Perhaps, the threshold was lowered a little bit too much this year. So, we would like to recommend going back to the original threshold of 25 percent, which was the level that was used, the sensitivity of the machine used in 2022," PPCRV spokesperson Ana Singson said in a press briefing in Manila.
