BACOLOD CITY, Dec. 1 -- Negros Electric and Power Corp. (Negros Power) has restored electricity to almost 250,000 customers after 100 percent of the lateral lines in its franchise area have already been re-energized on Nov. 27, the power company said on Monday.

Operations of Negros Power cover the cities of Bacolod, Silay, Talisay, and Bago, as well as the municipalities of Murcia and Don Salvador Benedicto.

In a press statement, Negros Power said the full restoration of power supply after the devastation brought by Typhoons Tino and Uwan on Nov. 4 and 9, respectively, is a result of a collective effort as communities and response teams worked together to fast-track recovery operations.
