Manila, Nov. 6 -- The tropical depression located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) continues to move west northwestward while maintaining its strength, the weather bureau said Wednesday.
In its 11 p.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the center of the tropical depression was estimated at 1,770 km. east of northeastern Mindanao.
It packs maximum sustained winds of 55 km. per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph.
It is moving west-northwestward at 15 kph.
PAGASA said the weather disturbance may enter PAR by late Friday or early Saturday and will be given the local name Uwan, the country's 21st cyclone this year.
