Manila, Feb. 27 -- A patrolman assigned at the Laguna Police Provincial Office is facing dismissal following his involvement in a robbery holdup in Taguig City in June 2024, the Internal Affairs Service (IAS) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Thursday.

In a statement, IAS chief Inspector Gen. Brigido Dulay said he has submitted to the office of PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil the recommendation to dismiss the police officer, whose name was withheld.

The patrolman was found guilty of grave misconduct and conduct unbecoming of a police officer.
