Manila, May 21 -- Senator Grace Poe on Wednesday underscored the need for fairness and transparency in the implementation of the No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP), warning that motorists' rights must not be sidelined as the policy returns to major roads in Metro Manila.

With the Supreme Court partially lifting the temporary restraining order on NCAP, Poe urged the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to revisit and strengthen their rollout plans.

She emphasized the need for a credible technology provider, the installation of high-definition cameras, and the creation of a clear, efficient appeals mechanism to ensure that motorists can contest violations when necessary.
