Manila, May 1 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday said it will ask for the removal of the name of businessman Anson Que's son from the list of respondents in connection with the kidnap-slay case it recently filed at the Department of Justice (DOJ).

PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said there are no corroborative pieces of evidence to support the claim of David Tan Liao, a Chinese national, that Que's 42-year-old son Ronxian Gou or Alvin Aue, was involved in the killing of his father.

"Walang direktang ebidensya na maglilink kay Alvin Que dito sa nangyaring pangingidnap sa kanyang ama (There is no direct evidence linking Alvin Que to the kidnaping of his father)," Fajardo said in press briefing at Camp Crame.
