Manila, Jan. 29 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) will conduct a thorough investigation to identify those responsible behind the fake medical bulletin of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

The PNP's Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) has been tasked to mobilize a team that will investigate and coordinate with other agencies in holding responsible those behind the disinformation attempt.

"I have already tasked the PNP-ACG to help in the conduct of investigation aimed at identifying those responsible for this," PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said in a statement.

He called the manufacture and posting of the fake medical bulletin on the internet "disrespectful, insensitive and gross violation of the law."
