Manila, Oct. 31 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday said it is preparing a comprehensive security plan to secure the country's hosting of the 2026 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and Related Summits.

PNP acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez, Jr., said this was in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. to uphold the national commitment to hosting regional and global engagements by ensuring the highest level of safety and security for all delegates and participants.
