Manila, Oct. 11 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) has ordered a full assessment of all its facilities and equipment in Davao Oriental and nearby provinces following the twin quakes that rocked parts of Mindanao on Friday.
PNP acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. instructed directors in affected areas, particularly Police Regional Office-Davao Region and Police Regional Office-Caraga Region, to inspect all police stations, headquarters, and infrastructure for possible structural damage.
The directive aligned with the instruction of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. to immediately mobilize resources and ensure the safety, security and operational readiness in quake-hit areas, according to a news release on Saturday.
