Manila, April 14 -- Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil on Monday placed all police units on heightened alert to ensure the safety of motorists and commuters this Holy Week.
During the command conference at Camp Crame, Marbil underscored the need to prevent common crimes, particularly theft and burglary in terminals, tourist spots, and other places of convergence.
"Let us ensure the safety of our people. Let them feel the presence of the police force in checkpoints and chokepoints," Marbil told the PNP officials during the meeting.
