Manila, Feb. 14 -- The Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) has convened a stakeholders' meeting to address emerging carnapping schemes and strengthen collaborative efforts with key industry players.

The meeting, held at the HPG headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City on Thursday, was presided over by HPG Director Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta, according to a PNP-HPG news release on Friday.

Present in the meeting were 58 bank managers from across the country and HPG officials, including the Command Group, division chiefs, section and office heads, regional chiefs of Regional Highway Patrol Unit (RHPUs), and investigators from RHPUs and Provincial Highway Patrol Teams (PHPTs).
