Manila, Oct. 5 -- Acting Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. led the leadership turnover at the Police Regional Office in Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) on Wednesday.

During a ceremony, Nartatez formally announced Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano's assumption as acting regional director.

Abrahano succeeded Brig. Gen. Rolindo Suguilon to the position.

Nartatez said PNP's mandate and commitment to anti-crime efforts "will remain aggressive" as he reminded police personnel and officials of their duty to public service.

Meanwhile, Abrahano vowed to maintain peace and order on the ground down to the communities where police visibility is key in curbing criminal activities.
