Manila, May 20 -- Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil on Tuesday issued his "Go Back to Basics" guidance, a set of internal reforms aimed at reinforcing discipline, enhancing professionalism, and addressing persistent gaps within the service.
This is in response to the guidance of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to strengthen professionalism and restore public trust in government institutions.
"It's time we return to the fundamentals of public service. If we want to move forward as a professional organization, we must first strengthen our basic systems and correct practices that hinder progress," he said in a statement.
