Manila, April 24 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) said Thursday it has launched intensified, intelligence-led, and target-driven operations across the country to strengthen public safety, deter criminal activities, and ensure maximum police visibility in the country's most critical and high-density areas.

In a statement, PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil said the heightened police posture is being implemented over and above the ongoing deployment of forces for the 2025 national and local elections, in compliance with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s marching orders.

He underscored the PNP's operational agility and commitment to upholding law and order even in the face of multiple national imperatives.
