MANILA, Nov. 25 -- Philippine National Police (PNP) acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. on Tuesday said disaster response units have been fully activated and are ready to respond to emergencies amid the threats of Tropical Depression Verbena.

"Ang ating priority ay ang kaligtasan ng bawat residente kaya nakikipag-coordinate tayo sa local government units at iba pang agencies upang masiguro ang mabilis na aksyon sakaling kailanganin (Our priority is the safety of every resident, so we are coordinating with local government units and other agencies to ensure quick action once needed.)," Nartatez said in a statement.
