Manila, Jan. 13 -- The Philippine National Police-Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) on Tuesday said it has arrested 21 individuals in a series of operations from Jan. 2 to 8.

In a statement, the PNP-ACG said 15 of the suspects were arrested through entrapment operations while six were wanted persons successfully tracked and taken into custody for cybercrime-related violations.

Aside from arrests, the PNP-ACG also recorded 30 referred cases during the period comprising of 19 regular filings and 11 inquest proceedings, "reflecting strengthened case preparation and close coordination with prosecutors."
