Manila, Feb. 4 -- The Philippine National Police-Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) has formed a team to investigate the fake medical bulletin of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. that was circulated online.

PNP-ACG chief Brig. Gen. Wilson Asueta on Wednesday said the team will coordinate with other agencies in pursuing those behind the disinformation attempt.

"Mayroon kaming binuo na (We formed a) team for that purpose. I already assigned them to collaborate and cooperate with other agencies responsible for this investigation," Asueta said in a press briefing.

When asked whether the PNP-ACG had identified individuals behind the fake medical results, Asueta declined to give details, citing the ongoing investigation.
