Philippines, Sept. 21 -- MANILA - The Philippine National Police (PNP) has mobilized personnel and readied mobility assets in anticipation of Super Typhoon Nando, which is expected to further intensify on Sunday.
In a statement Sunday, PNP acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the preparation aligns with the instruction of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to ensure the safety of the people and communities along the typhoon's path.
Nartatez said police units in affected areas were also tasked to coordinate with local government units for preemptive evacuation plans.
