Manila, Jan. 6 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday committed to a more disciplined and ethical police force, as it exhorted all personnel to anchor their actions on lawfulness, fairness and genuine service.

"[The guide] further emphasizes the importance of public perception, transparency, accountability, and the firm rejection of corruption, abuse of authority, and any form of unethical advantage," the PNP said in a statement.
