Manila, Aug. 19 -- The Philippine National Police-Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) and the Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Tuesday forged a partnership to bolster cooperation in safeguarding data privacy, enhancing cybersecurity measures, and combating cybercrimes, including online scams and the proliferation of fixers in land transportation transactions.

In a statement, the PNP-ACG said its Director, Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang, and LTO Chief Vigor Mendoza II inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at Camp Crame, allowing the two agencies to share mechanisms to enforce transport-related orders, resolutions and decisions.
