Manila, Sept. 17 -- Customers of PLDT Global Corporation may now access services of Japan's major internet exchange (IX) provider, BBIX Inc., after the companies decided to partner to provide transformative remote peering services.

PLDT Global, the international arm of publicly-listed PLDT Group, in a press release on Wednesday, said the tie-up will allow its customers "to access BBIX's services without the need for physical presence in key markets globally."

"The partnership aims to deliver greater flexibility, scalability, and cost efficiency to enterprises seeking to expand in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond," it said.
