Manila, Sept. 5 -- A commercial flight had experienced an "aircraft-related issue" and blocked the Busuanga Airport runway, resulting in the disruption of 11 flights on Friday, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said.
According to CAAP, PAL Express flight GAP 2961 from Manila landed at Busuanga Airport at 7:47 a.m., but was unable to vacate the runway due to a technical issue.
Without citing specific flight details, the CAAP said the incident caused the cancellation of nine flights, and the delay and diversion of two others.
In a separate advisory, flag carrier Philippines Airlines said three of its flights were canceled due to the incident.
The canceled flights were PR 2962 Busuanga -Manila, and PR 2963/2964 Manil...
