Manila, July 22 -- The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) on Tuesday assured the public that essential mail delivery operations remain ongoing despite the persistent heavy rains and widespread flooding caused by heavy monsoon rains.

The PHLPost said it is continuing to deliver important documents, government communications, and relief-related correspondence in areas where it is safe to do so, recognizing the vital role of communications during emergencies.

"PHLPost stands as a vital public utility in delivering communications and services, especially when the public needs it most," the agency said in a statement.
