Manila, Jan. 21 -- The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said over 400 weak to moderate earthquakes were recorded around Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat, from 10:52 p.m. Jan. 19 to 1 p.m. Wednesday.
At least 135 of these, with magnitudes ranging from 1.5 to 5.2, were plotted or located.
Phivolcs said 20 of the earthquakes were felt.
The agency, in an advisory, urged the public to be prepared and do the "duck/drop, cover and hold."
Those in coastal areas are advised to stay alert and be mindful of signs of a tsunami.
The public is also encouraged to check updates via the Phivolcs website or official social media accounts.
