Manila, April 14 -- The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) has paid the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) PHP22.8 million for the first batch of its claims for Ischemic Heart Disease - Acute Myocardial Infarction (IHD-AMI) benefit package.
In a news release on Monday, PhilHealth President and Chief Executive Officer Edwin Mercado said the payment is part of the state insurer's commitment to brinG life-saving health services closer to every Filipino through "prompt claims reimbursements."
