LEGAZPI CITY, Oct. 10 -- The Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) 5 (Bicol) officially launched its YAKAP (Yamang Kalusugan Para sa Pangkalahatang Kalusugan) Program in Albay on Friday, aiming to provide comprehensive healthcare to the local population.
PhilHealth-5 Vice President Alberto Manduriao said that, out of an estimated 1.44 million people in the province, 306,000 are registered for YAKAP, previously known as the Konsulta package.
There are 34 accredited health facilities ready to provide services under the program.
